I must just say a few things about SMC Solar Ltd.
You gave me great advice from the start to the finish of my PV solar panel installation. You arrived as planned and completed the work quickly and professionally. The scaffolding was erected a day earlier than expected but was removed early the following morning after the installation was completed. This minimised any inconvenience.
The inverter has a great display allowing me to keep track of just how much power I am generating, that’s the best bit.
To cut a long story short, the system you installed has proven to be the best option for my particular roof. Thanks for your help.

We opted for SMC Solar as we were given timely, effective and professional advice that offered flexibility to meet our specification using products that were made in Britain, which was our preferred option.
After obtaining several quotes and surveys the SMC system was found to give the best value for money per Kw generated, compared with competitors.
Our requirement for a maximum / 4 kWp system was met by SMC while other companies suggested that the installation would be awkward (or impossible) and was rejected as too much trouble.
The installation – from scaffolding to final connection was carried out on time with a competent friendly team displaying good workmanship.

Steve gave a very impressive sales pitch and absolutely no pressure. But then if you see the figures below regarding our first year he didn’t really need to – they well exceeded all expectations!
We have a 21 panel 3.89kWp system on a 30 degree roof facing south-south west.
Average daily output (kWh):
Apr-July = 17
July-Oct = 13
Oct-Jan = 5
Jan-Apr = 11
Total output for year (kWh): = 4207 (30% over estimate)
Total income/savings = £2,286
Equals annual interest of 17% tax free on capital expenditure for 25 years. Capital expenditure returned after 5.86 years
Note: For new installations from April 2012 this would have been roughly 8% interest with capital returned after 12 years. From August 2012 new contracts will be for 20 years.
