SMC Solar Ltd began as SMC Ltd in 1997 working mainly as a consultancy to the rail sector and later to the health sector. During this time SMC gained experience in the management of safety related practices and project management processes, so the move into the Inspection and Testing side of Electrical Contracting was a natural extension.
As the electrical contracting side of SMC grew, SMC Ltd developed the skills and experience to provide services in the emerging market of Solar PV installation, and in 2010 changed the company name to reflect this new core business. With our background in organising large-scale projects the transition into solar developments came naturally. With our experience growing constantly the supply and installation of Solar PV Panels has now become the focus of SMC Solar Ltd’s business.
SMC Solar Ltd are now installing roof and ground mounted Solar PV Panels to a variety of clients from domestic, commercial, and agricultural settings to schools and churches throughout the Southern counties and the Midlands.
