Once a client is interested in solar they want to know how it all comes together. At SMC Solar Ltd our friendly and helpful staff, guide our clients through the whole solar installation process from enquiry to completion.
Enquiry
As soon as we pick up the phone we are on hand to answer any of your questions regarding solar power, from the technology to the Feed-in-Tariff scheme. At first contact we aim to give you a rough idea of current installation prices and the sort of return you can expect. In accordance with the REAL Consumer Code we don’t push for the hard sell but take time to make sure that your questions are answered and that Solar PV is the right investment for you.
Survey
When you are ready to proceed we make sure that a member of our team comes out to meet you at your property. The meeting allows you to get a feel for the company and the ethos of the people you are investing with. It also allows us to do an accurate survey and to really understand what is important to you.
Quote & Design
From this survey and meeting, we draw up a very competitive quote and also provide you with government regulated predictions of your return. Our in-house design team make sure that the materials used and the system proposed, are tailor made to your project specifications. We use manufacturer-specific design software to ensure that exactly the right components are selected.
Before Installation
Once you give us the go ahead we can guide you through any planning requirements necessary for your project and start arranging the installation. If you need an Energy Performance Certificate we can arrange this for you through our network of energy assessors and help you get the all-important D rating.
We are happy to fit the installation around your schedule and we will arrange scaffolding, materials and any deliveries to fit your diary. When the installation is booked in, our office team will be happy to answer any final questions before the site team arrives.
The Installation
With everything ready, the scaffolding will usually go up the day before the installation to minimise any disruption. For domestic installations we aim to finish our work in a day but our efficient site staff can often complete an installation in a matter of hours. Our experienced electricians and roofers are on hand throughout the installation to offer advice and talk you through the system they are installing.
Feed-in-Tariff Application
With the installation complete we generate your MCS completion certificate and are more than happy to guide you through your Feed-in-Tariff application. All you have to do then is sit back and wait for the sun to shine.
After-sales Service & Warranties
Once we have installed your panels, we do not disappear! We will be available to answer any on-going questions you may have in the years to come. We also provide you with peace of mind that our installations are backed by an insurance backed warranty of 10 years. Your equipment is also covered by manufacturer’s own warranties.
